Newsletter Fall 2009

Dear Juice Customers,

Welcome to the 2009 grape harvest. We are anticipating a little later harvest than last year, due to the cooler growing season in June & July.

We have held the line on grape juice prices to the same as 2008, in recognition of a slower economy and our slightly higher crop size.

We continue to offer our customers with one of the widest selections of grape juices available. We have increased the availability of Noiret (new red) and Iona (heritage variety) and are anticipating two new varieties in 2010.

On a sad note: Our tank room manager, David Arsenault (43 years young) passed on from a heart condition this spring. His eagerness and steadiness in helping our many Randall-Standish customers will be missed greatly. We are fortunate that Dave and Chris’s daughter, Allison, has been “in training” at the juice room for the last two years. She loves the job of assisting our customers and with a little help from the rest of the Randall-Standish crew will continue to serve you well.

As with previous years, we suggest you place your order early and pick your juice up towards the beginning of its availability.

We appreciate having you as a customer and look forward to satisfying your grape juice needs this year.

Sincerely,

The Randall-Standish Crew

P.S. You can purchase the majority of your home winemaking needs (carboys, yeast, fermentation locks etc.) from “Barrel Necessities” at Randall-Standish.
